Lonely Beach Diving

Lonely Beach on Koh Chang offers some good diving.

There is no diving spot in Lonely Beach directly but there are some diving schools. They take care of everything and the actual diving spots are south of Koh Chang.

The diving can be done all year. Best time is from November to May because the sea is very calm and visibility is very good way over 10 metres at good days.

Lonely Beach Diving – is it worth it?

The simple answer is yes. It may not be the worlds best diving spot. But there are quite some nice and colorful things to see. Also there are some wrecks as the HTMS Chang which is the largest with 117 meters length. There is also the chance to see whale sharks. It is very rare though. I didn’t see any on my diving trips but the diving instructor at Lonely Beach said he sees them a couple of times a year. And even some friends of mine were lucky to make this wonderful experience at Lonely Beach.

Also diving in Lonely Beach is very cheap.

So all in all if you like diving, want to learn it or refresh your skills, Lonely Beach on Koh Chang is a good diving spot!

There are many more diving schools on Koh Chang. Most of them also offer pick ups from Lonely Beach. Scuba Dawgs is one of the cheapest on the island and located in Bang Bao, they plan an office in Lonely Beach as well.
