Lonely Beach Restaurants – Wo und was essen
Es gibt so einige Essensoptionen am Lonely Beach. Angefangen bei günstigen Thai Curries über westliche Küche mit Burgern bis hin zu noblen Restaurants mit frischgefangenen Fischen. Im Allgemeinen ist das Essen in Lonely Beach sehr günstig. Wenn du ein wenig Ausschau hältst kannst du bereits ein Frühstücksomelett oder Curry ab 50 Baht bekommen. Natürlich kannst du auch einen frischen Fisch braten lassen und der kostet mal eben 500 Baht.
Es ist schwer die Restaurants am Lonely Beach in Kategorien einzuteilen. Es gibt einige wenige, die sich auf internationale oder Thai Küche spezialisieren. Aber die meisten Orte haben eine große Auswahl beider Küchen. Manche Restaurants haben nur 10 Gerichte auf dem Menü während andere 200 haben. Der Service ist grundsätzlich eher mittelmäßig. Allerdings schwankt es sehr stark von Lokal zu Lokal.
Nachfolgend habe ich alle Restaurants am Lonely Beach aufgelistet. Es fängt an mit günstigen und steigert sich dann im Preis. Du siehst jeweils kurz Küche, Preisregion, eine Spezialität und natürlich ein kurzes Review von mir.

Baanmai
The Baanmai Restaurant is one of the best places for thai food at Lonely Beach. Owner and staff are thai people. Service is okay and portions for the price good. Best place for Chicken Curry with coconut milk.

Where: Walk the main street south when the street goes up it is on the right side.
Aire Beach Cafe
This new and tiny Cafe is a real enrichment for Lonely Beach. Everything I tasted here was absolutely wonderful. Breakfast, coffee, smoothies. And it has a great vibe to, is at the ocean and has fair prices. I love this place. Unfortunately they don’t serve lunch or dinner, but everything they have is awesome.

Where: When you come from town and walk the big street to the beach go left at the end. After Cancun Bar just a little further.
Dang Seafood
The name is a bit misleading though. In fact you find a huge variety of thai food at this place. You also get the cheapest curry with rice here for only 50 Baht! And it’s delicious too. The small budget backpacker ate here nearly every day and I know why! Fish is also good but plan 400 Baht for that. Very full nearly every night, but still fast and good staff.

Where: When you walk the main street north it is the last restaurant on the left side in the town.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is an institution at Lonely Beach and you should go here at least once. It has really good thai food and cheap prices. Also the atmosphere is nice as the owner is a lovely and funny host. Just be careful if you order „spicy“ they take that serious and it can get thai spicy.

Where: Walk the main street north it’s close to the end of the town on the left side.
Stone Free
Stone Free is more like a chilled bar with nice live music once in a while. But they also serve food. You write down what you want yourself and they will serve it. The food is good but no highlight, still a nice place to have dinner and some drinks with friends.

Where: Walk the Soy 2 from the main street. After 50m on the right side.
Joys Cottage
This reggae styled bar and hostel has a restaurant as well. Nice vibe and chilled atmosphere. They offer live music as well on some nights, so enjoy your dinner while listening.

Where: When you walk the main street north it is one of the last restaurants on the right side in the town.
Cafe Del Sunshine
Cafe Del Sunshine is a beautiful small place. You can get a very good breakfast, coffee and smoothies here. The owner and team are welcoming and helpful. One woman always made my coffee because I didn’t get the right mix, lovely.

Where: Walk the main street north take the Soy 1 left. Walk 100 meters and you find it on the left side before Himmel bar.
Sleepy Owl
Sleepy Owl calls himself Coffee & Eatery and in fact they make an excellent coffee. You also get some good choices of breakfast, thai and pizza. They also have very fast internet in the restaurant. Also service was pretty fast compared to some other places.

Rim Tarn Seafood
Don’t get misleaded by the name, they offer a huge amount of dishes! Food is good, can get very crowded at nights. The fish is very fresh and made at the front of the restaurant.

Marcos place
This is more a guesthouse than restaurant, but they serve some italian food as well. Menu is only pizza and lasagna but as Marco is a real italian you get the best pizza in Lonely Beach here!

Little Eden
The Little Eden has a restaurant as well, serving good food. Nice and quiet location a bit off the main street. Service and price medium but food is tasty. They have some chef specialties on the menu, check them out.

Where: If you walk the main street south cross the 7 Days then next street right. After some minutes it’s on the left side.
The Magic Garden
Either you love it or you hate it. I really love that place and went here often. Service is bad yes, but atmosphere and food are great. One of the best places for western food. Menu not too big, prices medium.

Where: Walk the main street south when the street goes up it is on the right side.
Nature Rocks
Nature Rocks is one of the few restaurants directly at the sandy beach. Nice location with good view. Perfect place for lunch on a beach day or dinner with beautiful sunset. Staff friendly but slow. Thai food good, western food just average, still a good place to eat and rest for a while.

Where: When you come from town the first one on the sandy beach.
Margaritaville
Beside the cocktails you get some good food at this place. Owner is swedish so you get some swedish dishes as well. Small place with small menu, but nice food. Service decent as in a lot of places.

Where: End of the main street on the left side if you walk south.
World of Tapas
This is the restaurant at the BB Lonely Beach. Good amount of delicious tapas. Bit too tiny for the price, service okay. If you stay some days at Lonely Beach you should check it out once as you can taste quite a lot of different things.

Oasis
One of my favorite restaurants in Lonely Beach. The location is great on the top of a side street. The view is great all over Lonely Beach and the sea. Atmosphere very relaxed, service good and food delicious. a bit more expensive, but I ate here a lot, it’s worth it.

Where: Walk the main street south, cross the 7 Days and turn right on the next street. Walk until the end there it is on the right side.
Lonely Beach Resort
The Lonely Beach Resort is one of oldest in Koh Chang and the restaurant as well. Big variety of food, middle prices, service decent. They have some danish dishes as the owner is danish.

Warapura
Warapura is the restaurant of the resort with the same name. It is at the stony beach and has a really nice view and some hammock’s in the restaurant. It’s a bit more fancy and the food delicious. Good for a romantic date with your partner.

Lonely Beach Restaurants – kurze Info
Die Informationen und Reviews hier spiegeln nur meine eigene Meinung wieder. Vielleicht machst du eine komplett andere Erfahrung bei deinem Besuch. Ich habe in allen Restaurants viele Male gegessen und denke ich kann gut etwas dazu sagen. Aber natürlich habe ich nicht überall die ganze Karte probiert. Außerdem wechseln Restaurants, Köche oder Servicekräfte. Nimm meine Infos also einfach als kleine Empfehlung.
